Inside Škodaverse: how Škoda is redefining digital realms in The Nemesis

Starting with the launch of the Metaverse, the Škodaverse, we have embarked on a venture to keep the community actively engaged through thrilling events. Users interact with the Brand in an entirely novel manner, encountering experiences that only the Metaverse can provide.

November 10th, 2022, marks the official start date of the journey undertaken between The Nemesis and Škoda, with the launch of the Brand's automotive Metaverse: the Škodaverse. This event represents the Brand's entry into the Web3 space and its distinctive features, undoubtedly involving users in a significantly more immersive interaction than any traditional channel.

However, beyond the launch, designed to allow users to explore the Brand's new model, the journey is always ongoing due to new events and seasons. For instance, there was the Christmas challenge, where participants had the chance to earn a themed skin. Nevertheless, Škoda is unquestionably intertwined with the sports industry, as evidenced by our collaboration on the two extraordinary recent events.

Given the positive feedback from users, we organized unique experiences within the Metaverse during the 2023 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship. But that's not all. In July, cycling took the spotlight in the Metaverse, thanks to a project created in collaboration with We Love Cycling.

THE ŠKODAVERSE LAUNCH

The creation of a Metaverse by an international Brand like Škoda has allowed us to showcase an entirely innovative form of communication to the world, reminiscent of the gaming industry. Through the launch, we have meticulously crafted a complete Eco-City World, featuring various areas related to the automotive industry.

How can users enjoy the experience? They can access the Metaverse for FREE via mobile app (available on both iOS and Android) or web browser and experience a unique gaming journey. You can explore the entire virtual world, interact with other players in real-time through the in-game chat. Thanks to our partnership with Ready Player Me (here's a demonstrative video), you can also customize your avatar, allowing you to immerse yourself in a truly unique gaming experience.

Users can explore the new ENYAQ Coupé RS iV Škoda model in the exhibition area, take virtual test drives, and learn about the Brand's eMobility through interactive corners. For NFT enthusiasts, there's also a gallery showcasing all of Skoda's NFT artworks.

THE 2023 IIHF ICE HOCKEY WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP FAN ZONE

For the 2023 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship, we decided with Škodaverse to take the fan experience to the next level by creating a new Ice Hockey area in the Škoda Metaverse

We designed an Ice Hockey field that closely resembles the real one, enabling users to experience a digital environment that mimics the real thing. The gaming activities within the FAN ZONE area allowed them to fully immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the World Championship and take on the role of a real player.

 

Users engaged in challenges with the opportunity to earn rewards, ranging from our in-game Cards, valuable for the Miner System, to NFTs and physical experiences. Play And Earn is one of the fundamental pillars on which our platform is built, and it's what allows even those unfamiliar with the Brand to approach and get to know it.

Undoubtedly a one-of-a-kind experience for users, made possible by the endless possibilities provided by the Metaverse technology.

 

WE LOVE CYCLING TOUR IN THE ŠKODAVERSE

Recently, it was the world of cycling's turn to make its way into Škoda's Metaverse. In collaboration with the automotive Brand and We Love Cycling, we organized a tour by constructing a track within the virtual world, featuring various challenges spread out over weeks. Users had to pedal on their bicycles and had the opportunity to earn both digital and real-world rewards

It proved to be a success, considering the numerous positive feedback on social media, including videos posted by users on Twitter and Youtube, as they enjoyed participating in the challenges. 

The Ultimate Grand Finale Challenge was especially competitive, due to the prizes at stake, within the breathtaking Metaverse of Paris:
