The Nemesis and Rai Cinema add a new chapter to their successful collaboration with a multi-platform project dedicated to the Divine Comedy and specifically created for Dantedì, the Italian National Day in honor of Dante Alighieri, which is celebrated on March 25th.
This edutainment journey takes place within the Rai Cinema Metaverse in The Nemesis, an entertainment platform offering innovative virtual reality experiences. In the shoes of Dante, the player will embark on a wonderful adventure inspired by the Divine Comedy while learning to appreciate the beauty and complexity of Dante Alighieri's work in a unique and immersive gaming experience.
The prize is an exclusive preview of the short film "Inferno" by Federico Basso, featuring the voice of Francesco Pannofino, the first chapter of the production "La Divina Commedia" created by ETT Gruppo Scai, which also provided literary advice for the reconstruction of the dark forest and the screenplay for the Metaverse experience. The game - online from Wednesday, March 22nd - is completely free and accessible from desktop and mobile app via the following link: https://thenemesis.io/@raicinema
From March 25th, on the National Day celebrating Dante, the short film "Inferno" and the unpublished second chapter "Purgatorio" will be released on RaiPlay and Rai Cinema Channel and, thanks to the collaboration with Rai Pubblica Utilità, will be also available in a special version accessible to hearing and visually impaired audiences.
On the same day the VR version of the two chapters will be presented for the first time and will involve various viewing facilities throughout Italy, located between Florence, Milan and Turin.
The short films will be screened in the VR cinemas created in collaboration with Rai Cinema, that is at the Dante’s House Museum in Florence, the National Cinema Museum in Turin and the National Museum of Science and Technology in Milan. Finally, from March 27th, the shorts will be available on Rai Cinema Channel VR app, and from March 28th, will also be shown at the Mondo Digitale Foundation, in the outskirts of Rome.
This new project offers The Nemesis the chance to reiterate how the Metaverse and edutainment increasingly represent an opportunity to spread knowledge and skills in an innovative and engaging way, through immersive experiences combining entertainment and learning and arousing the curiosity and interest of users.
In this regard, Alessandro De Grandi - CEO & Founder of The Nemesis - says: "We are very happy to continue our collaboration with Rai Cinema in such an innovative project. The Nemesis considers edutainment and the Metaverse as a winning combination, capable of offering an entertainment experience which is engaging and playful, but also enriched with educational and interactive content allowing us to create a new way of learning, while arousing players' curiosity and interest about culture and history."
